Marie Curie 1903

On 25th June 1903, Marie Curie presented the findings of her work for her doctoral thesis, on the crystallization of radium. She determines the atomic weight of radium to be 225. The examination committee considered her paper to represent the greatest scientific contribution ever made in a doctoral thesis.
