Tolpuddle Martyrs formed a Trade Union in 1834

In 1834 the Tolpuddle Martyrs formed a Trade Union to protest about the conditions for rural workers. Slavery abolition was already introduced in 1833 but workers right in the UK were very limited. They were still transported for their sins to Australia
