The full title was Discourse on the Method of Rightly Conducting One’s Reason and of Seeking Truth in the Sciences

It contained an introduction to DioptriqueDes Météores and La Géométrie. Original in French, because intended for a wider public.

Originally published in Leiden Netherlands, it was later translated into Latin, Descartes was seeking incontrovertible truth and his methods and approach formed the basis of some of the most influential works on modern philosophical debate.
