- Everton Football Club 1878
In 1878, St Domingoe’s Methodist Church, in Everton, Liverpool, set up it’s own football club to try and entice more people to church. A year later in 1879, it changed it’s name to Everton Football Club.
The kit consisted of black shorts and a black top with a red diagonal stripe on it.
